A 189-room seafront chain hotel in Akçaabat's Söğütlü district, about 11 km west of Trabzon city centre, opened in 2015 as a Hilton Garden Inn and rebranded DoubleTree in 2019. Expect sea-view rooms, an indoor pool and free parking, but a taxi-dependent location and no alcohol served on site.

A 110-room IHG hotel on the coastal highway in Yomra, rebranded as Holiday Inn in October 2022, about 7 km from Trabzon Airport with free parking but no pool or spa. Guests praise the staff and breakfast, while late-night lobby-bar noise and smoke odour in non-smoking rooms come up repeatedly.

A 213-room, five-star Mercure opened in July 2021 on the Black Sea coastal road, 3-4 km from the airport and 500 m from Cevahir Mall; 160 rooms face the sea. A ninth-floor roof gym, seasonal outdoor pool and free underground parking make it practical for airport and family stays, but the city centre is a 15-minute taxi ride and the surroundings are not walkable.

An eight-storey, 350-room hotel right on the sea just 1 km from Trabzon Airport - the Başaran Group property is the region's largest five-star congress hotel, with 2,450 m² of meeting space for 1,500 delegates, an outdoor pool, a 2,500 m² spa with indoor pool and hamam, and its own beach. Known weak spots from reviews: persistently slow or dropping Wi-Fi, check-in queues at peak times and minibar billing disputes; for a seafront stay five minutes from the runway, it is effectively the only option in the province.

Opened in 2024, Residence Inn by Marriott Trabzon is an 88-unit, four-star extended-stay property in Kaşüstü, Yomra. Its studios and suites feature equipped kitchens, while shared facilities include an indoor pool, spa, fitness centre and complimentary parking. It suits families, business travellers and longer stays, although its hillside location outside central Trabzon makes a car or taxi particularly useful.
