The realistic view

Beyond the first impression

Verified information only

A beachfront resort in a quiet cove at Emecik on the Datça peninsula. Its 152 rooms are spread across low-rise, hillside buildings with Ottoman, Seljuk and Aegean-village styling. It opened under the Wyndham flag in June 2024. Guests consistently praise the clear water, the private jetty and the architecture. Recent reviews are less kind about cleanliness, upkeep and service consistency, so it suits travelers who prioritize the setting over polish.

What it does well

  • Travelers who want clear water, a private jetty and a quiet cove
  • Those looking to unwind in nature, away from big resort crowds
  • Families who need a children's pool and playground

What to watch for

  • Cleanliness and upkeep are often criticized as below the brand's standard.
  • Guests expecting flawless international-chain housekeeping and maintenance
  • Anyone with limited mobility (stairs and slopes to many rooms)

What guests keep mentioning

  • CleanlinessCaution

Cleanliness scores are middling. Reviews from 2025–2026 repeatedly mention dusty floors, hair left by previous guests and rooms serviced late in the day, though some guests found their room spotless.

Compiled from recurring themes in guest reviews.

  • BreakfastCaution

Breakfast gets credit for fresh produce and the omelette station, but variety and hygiene in the dining area draw complaints.

Location

Mugla, Datca

Emecik Mah. Emecik Sok. No: 357, 48900 Datça / Muğla

Wyndham quotes 89 km to Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV), which is most likely a straight-line figure; Hotels.com puts the drive at roughly 197 minutes. Dalaman Airport (DLM) is about 152 km away. The hotel has no airport shuttle. In summer, an alternative is the Bodrum–Datça ferry, then a drive from the port.

The hotel sits right on the water in a cove at Emecik, in the Datça district. Wyndham's official page puts it 17 km from the ferry port that links Bodrum and Datça; Hotels.com gives 22 km, about a 22–24 minute drive. Datça's town beach is roughly a 21-minute drive away and Marmaris about 45 km. Karaincir Beach is around 1 km off. The nearest cafés and restaurants are a 5–8 minute drive, so having a car makes the stay much easier.

The stay

Editor's notes

Noise & sound insulation

The hotel is set in woodland in an isolated cove, and reviews often mention the quiet and birdsong. Tripadvisor rates sleep quality 4.1/5. One Yandex reviewer said the lounger area never felt crowded, even with the hotel reportedly full.

Extra fees & things to know

On bed-and-breakfast stays, all food and drinks beyond breakfast cost extra, including Starbucks and the à la carte restaurants. The minibar is empty and stocked on request for a fee. No airport transfer is offered. Beach gear and towels are free.

Pool, spa & fitness

There are separate seasonal outdoor pools for adults and children. The spa offers a Turkish bath, sauna, steam room and massages. The official site lists a gym with cardio and conditioning machines, but a 2026 reviewer said there was no fitness center, so confirm with the hotel if it matters to you. The beach is a sand-and-pebble mix that shelves quickly, so water shoes help. One guest noted the sea was cold even in July. Loungers, umbrellas and cushions are free, and beach towels are handed out 09:00–16:00.
