The realistic view
Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Bosphorus is a 257-room hotel on Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş, an 8-minute walk from Zorlu Center, in a renovated 21-storey tower that previously traded as The Plaza and Mercure Istanbul The Plaza Bosphorus before relaunching as a Mövenpick in 2021. It offers 17 meeting rooms, a spa with indoor pool and hammam, the Hünkar Turkish brasserie and the rooftop Italian restaurant Da Vittorio with 360-degree views. Bosphorus views are limited to upper-floor 'Bosphorus' category rooms, and boulevard traffic noise is the main drawback.

Istanbul · Beşiktaş · ★★★★★
A 213-room, 16-floor Renaissance hotel opened in 2012 on Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş, between Taksim and Levent, best known for Bosphorus views from its upper floors and its rooftop 212 Bar & Restaurant. Service is consistently praised, though some guests find the rooms dated and the immediate surroundings awkward to explore on foot.
Istanbul · Beşiktaş · ★★★★★
A 185-room hotel (49 suites) that opened in September 2014 inside the Zorlu Center complex in Beşiktaş, with balconies in every room, a butler assigned to each room and a 3,000 m² spa floor. It suits business and leisure stays on the European side's commercial axis, but the historic peninsula is roughly 7 km away.
Istanbul · Şişli · ★★★★★
A 104-room business hotel on Büyükdere Avenue, about 500 m from Gayrettepe metro, with an indoor pool, hammam and six meeting rooms. Staff and cleanliness are the consistent strengths; the building and décor date from 2013 and now read as slightly worn.
