A 59-room, five-floor Mercure in a 172-year-old building opposite Sirkeci's Grand Post Office, renovated and opened in 2019. The Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Topkapı and Hagia Sophia are 7-9 minutes on foot and Marmaray, tram and ferries are at the door; no pool, no parking, no pets, and quiet despite the location.
Istanbul · Fatih · ★★★★★
A 36-room boutique hotel in a restored 1912 bank building in Sirkeci, opened under Marriott's Autograph Collection in June 2021, about a five-minute walk from the Spice Bazaar and Eminönü. Guests consistently praise the service and cleanliness, but rooms are compact and there is no spa, gym or on-site parking.
Istanbul · Fatih · ★★★★
A 40-room boutique hotel in Sirkeci, opened in 2023 inside a restored 1900 Belle Époque building and run under Marriott's Autograph Collection brand. Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Bazaar and Topkapı Palace are all within walking distance, and the rooftop Mezzepotamia restaurant looks over the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus. Location, cleanliness and an unusually strong concierge team are the main draws; rooms run small, and there is no parking and no pool.
