Rail transit · 267 m
Istanbul Airport (IST) is about 35 km away and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) about 47 km; journey times vary widely with traffic. The hotel runs no shuttle but arranges paid private transfers. By public transport, use Marmaray Sirkeci or Haliç metro station.
The hotel sits in Sirkeci's Hobyar neighbourhood, roughly a five-minute walk from the Spice Bazaar and Eminönü Square and about ten minutes from the Grand Bazaar. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapı Palace are all reachable on foot. Marmaray Sirkeci station, Haliç metro station, Sirkeci railway station and the Eminönü bus and ferry piers are close by, and guests often mention easy access to ferries and trams. Expect busy streets during market hours.
The stay
Breakfast is served à la carte, not as a buffet, in the Lobby Lounge Restaurant. Marriott's official page says breakfast is not included as standard, so check your rate when booking. The basement Gregor Jazz Club hosts live jazz, and the rooftop Kuppel Lounge looks over the Bosphorus and the old city (evenings, weather and demand permitting). Room service is available.
Noise does not come up as a recurring complaint, and some guests describe their rooms as quiet. The building is in the Eminönü-Sirkeci market district, which is busy all day, and the jazz club is in the basement. Light sleepers may want to request an upper-floor room.
Breakfast may cost extra depending on the rate. Airport transfers are by paid private car: €130 one way from Istanbul Airport and €155 from Sabiha Gökçen, booked in advance. Marriott lists complimentary in-room Wi-Fi for Bonvoy members who book direct. Drinks at the rooftop lounge and the jazz club are charged separately.
There is no pool, spa or gym. Guests who need these will have to use nearby larger hotels or one of the city's hammams.

A 40-room boutique hotel in Sirkeci, opened in 2023 inside a restored 1900 Belle Époque building and run under Marriott's Autograph Collection brand. Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Bazaar and Topkapı Palace are all within walking distance, and the rooftop Mezzepotamia restaurant looks over the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus. Location, cleanliness and an unusually strong concierge team are the main draws; rooms run small, and there is no parking and no pool.

Opened in 2024, this 101-room Hampton sits in Istanbul's Old City, 0.7 km from the Grand Bazaar and 0.8 km from Hagia Sophia, with hot breakfast and Wi-Fi included in the rate. There is no pool, spa or parking, the entrance is on a steep cobbled lane taxis cannot reach, and some lower-floor rooms get little daylight.
