Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport (EDO) is about 21 km, 20-25 minutes by car. The hotel has an airport shuttle.
The hotel is in Güre, about 2 km inland from the coastal road toward the mountains, in the foothills of the Kazdağları. Central Edremit is 12 km, Akçay about 4 km, the Aegean Sea 2 km. The entrance to Kazdağı National Park is 8-12 minutes by car. Public transport is not practical; without your own car, a transfer or taxi is needed.
The stay
The location is calm, with no main road or city noise. However, guest reviews note that sound insulation between rooms is weak and neighboring rooms can be heard. During periods with weddings and group events, the poolside and the area around the ballroom can be busy.
Massage and the salt room are paid (the first 30 min of the salt room is free in some packages, by appointment). Swim caps are mandatory for the thermal pool; if you don't have one, they are sold for a fee. Beach entry is by voucher from reception; sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach are free, but food and drink is paid. Billiards and table tennis are paid.
Tarçın Spa: an indoor thermal pool overlooking the olive groves, women-only and mixed hammams, sauna, salt room, snow fountain, fitness and 4 massage rooms; a rentable 90 m² VIP Spa section (thermal jacuzzi, sauna). The thermal water comes from the Güre springs 6 km away, with no heating or cooling intervention. Swim caps are mandatory in all thermal pools (except the pool for ages 0-6). The outdoor pool is closed in winter; the thermal pools may close in rotation during maintenance periods.
