The realistic view
An 80-room hotel on the E-5 side road in Maltepe, 100-120 m from Gülsuyu M4 metro with a direct line to both Kadıköy and Sabiha Gökçen Airport; opened in June 2021 as the first Days-branded hotel in Turkey. Hamam and sauna are a plus at this price point, but road noise on the E-5 side and the detached car park are known weaknesses.

Rail transit · 850 m
Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is 20-24 km away; about 30-35 minutes direct on the M4 metro, or 25-40 minutes by car depending on traffic. Istanbul Airport (IST) is 60 km, 60-90 minutes by car; in practice this is a hotel for SAW passengers.
The hotel is in Maltepe Gülsuyu, on the E-5 (D100) service road; Gülsuyu M4 metro station is 100-120 m away (sources give anywhere from 45 to 250 m, in practice a 2-3 minute walk). The M4 runs directly toward Kadıköy and, in the other direction, directly to Sabiha Gökçen. Maltepe Park and Piazza malls are ~10 minutes on foot, Kartal İskelesi ~12 minutes, Bağdat Caddesi 10-15 minutes by car. Sabiha Gökçen is 24 km, Istanbul Airport 60 km; crossings to the European side take 45-90 minutes depending on bridge traffic.
The stay
The E-5 next door is the hotel's main noise source; reviews report traffic noise through the night in road-facing rooms and found the insulation weak. A rear-facing room on an upper floor is essential; light sleepers should pack earplugs. The metro runs underground, so rail noise is not an issue.
Breakfast may be charged separately depending on the rate; extra-bed fees vary by channel. A deposit or pre-authorization may be requested at check-in. Massage and hammam treatments are paid.

A 113-room city hotel on Atatürk Caddesi in Maltepe that opened in the first half of 2026, with a compact spa, two restaurants and easy access to the Asian-side metro. Early reviews are few but consistently praise cleanliness, new rooms and staff.
Istanbul · Atasehir · ★★★★
Turkey's first Residence Inn, opened in 2021: a 13-floor, 125-unit extended-stay hotel where every room has a full kitchenette, with free breakfast and parking. It sits in a residential pocket next to Yeditepe University, so you will rely on buses, taxis or a car, and reviews are split on service consistency.
Istanbul · Atasehir · ★★★★
A 76-room budget business hotel opened in 2019 in Küçükbakkalköy, five minutes by car from the Ataşehir finance district and a hilly ten-minute walk from Kozyatağı metro. Balcony rooms, a complimentary minibar and pets up to 10 kg set it apart in its class; soundproofing is weak and the tourist centre is far.
