The realistic view
A 90-unit, bungalow-only thermal resort on a forested 50,000 m² plot in Sapanca's Uzunkum area, where every bungalow has a thermal-water double jacuzzi and a fireplace. Set in woodland in Sapanca's Uzunkum neighbourhood, about 400 m from the Sapanca Lake shore, around 4 km from Sapanca town and roughly 3 km from the train station and bus terminal. The hotel puts Maşukiye about 10 minutes and Kartepe about 20 minutes away by car; Kartepe Ski Centre is around 36 km. Buggies move guests around the grounds, but you will need a car or taxi to explore the area.
The stay
All 90 units are 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom bungalows (agency data suggests about 57 one-bedroom Superior and 15 two-bedroom Deluxe units). Every bungalow has an indoor thermal jacuzzi, fireplace, underfloor heating and air conditioning. According to the official site, 7 one-bedroom, 11 two-bedroom and 2 three-bedroom units also have a thermal jacuzzi in the garden, and some types have a private pool. Choose Superior Plus or a garden-jacuzzi 2+1/3+1 if the outdoor tub matters; the 3+1 Presidential sleeps up to six. Reviewers report towels, robes and hangers missing on arrival, so check when you get in.
The forest setting keeps it away from traffic, and reviewers describe the evenings as calm. Because the bungalows are detached, there is no corridor or shared-wall noise.
The à la carte restaurant, spa treatments and arcade machines cost extra. Extra guests and rollaway beds are charged, as are children aged 7–13 (one child aged 0–6 usually stays free). ATV tours are run by a neighbouring operator for a fee. Honeymoon packages include discounts on spa, ATV and à la carte dining.
