Lake-and-mountain-view 25 m² rooms, sunset frontage and a breakfast rooted in Van's famous kahvaltı tradition are the draws, with Ferit Melen Airport only ~10 km away. The trade-off is distance: the centre is a 15-20 minute drive and taxis run expensive, so plan around a car. Two booking caveats: proof of marriage is required for couples, and isolated disputes over rates and currency conversion suggest confirming your price in writing. Persian-speaking staff serve the steady Iranian guest flow.

The hotel is in Edremit's Yeni Mahalle, on Sahil Caddesi on the shore of Lake Van; Van Ferit Melen Airport is ~10 km (10 minutes), the city center (Cumhuriyet Caddesi-Beş Yol) 12-15 km (15-20 minutes), Van Castle ~15 km. The Gevaş-Akdamar Island ferry pier is ~35-40 minutes, Muradiye Waterfall ~1 hour 15 minutes, the Van Cat Villa (YYÜ) ~25 minutes. The Edremit seafront park and walking path are in the immediate area; the Iran (Kapıköy) border gate is ~100 km. Public transport is limited; itineraries run by car or taxi.
The stay
Thanks to the out-of-center shoreline location, nights are noticeably quiet; the main risk is activity in the seafront park on summer weekends and wedding events. The lake side on an upper floor is the clear choice for both the view and tranquility.
A marriage document is required for couples, which must be known before booking. Because of reviews about price and exchange-rate disputes, confirm your confirmation amount and payment currency in writing at check-in; ID plus a card or deposit may be requested for extras, and the name on the card must match the booking name.
