There is no airport in Gümüşhane; the nearest is Trabzon Airport (TZX), ~100-110 km, about 1.5 hours by car via the new Zigana Tunnel. Erzincan (~120 km) and Erzurum (~130 km) are alternatives; in practice, travel is by road and coach.

The hotel is in the Kalederesi area of Özcan Mahallesi, in the Harşit Valley; central Gümüşhane is 1 km, the bus terminal 800 m, and the State Hospital a 550-600 m walk. Zigana Ski Center (Gümüşkayak) is 20 km, Karaca Cave 11 km, and Tomara Waterfall and the Santa Ruins are within day-trip distance; toward Torul-Zigana, Trabzon is ~100 km (~1.5 hours via the new Zigana Tunnel), and Erzurum ~130 km in the other direction. The historic Süleymaniye district (old Gümüşhane) is 10-15 minutes by car. There is a Migros supermarket on the lower floor.

Central heating, tea/coffee set, kettle, LED TV, safe and minibar are standard; the blackseahotels record notes soundproofed windows and a sofa bed. Given the valley location, the upper floors get mountain views. Air-conditioning performance in summer draws complaints, so in hot periods ask for an upper floor on the shaded side; check the room at check-in for any cigarette smell. The king suite and the suites are the largest accommodation units in the city.

Noise & sound insulation

The valley-city location is generally quiet; the main risk is the property's own events (weddings in the 600-person hall) and disco bar nights. For weekend stays, avoid the floors above the hall; there may be daytime city noise on the street side.
