The realistic view
Fairmont Quasar Istanbul is a 209-room hotel in the Mecidiyeköy business district of Şişli, opened in January 2017 inside the 41-storey Quasar towers on the site of a 1930s Art Deco liquor factory. Every room has a balcony, a 40-room Fairmont Gold floor offers lounge access, and around 2,000 m² of meeting space keeps the hotel business-oriented. Mecidiyeköy metro and metrobus are a short walk away, but the surrounding avenue is car-dominated rather than walkable, and the historic center is 30–45 minutes by car.

Istanbul Airport (IST) is about 42 km, 40–55 minutes; Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) about 40 km, 45–70 minutes.
Mecidiyeköy metro and metrobus stops are a 5–8 minute walk; Cevahir mall is 1 km. Taksim is 10 minutes by metro or 15–20 by car; Sultanahmet 30–45 minutes by car. The entrance is designed for vehicles off Büyükdere Avenue, so arriving on foot is awkward.
The stay
Upper floors are well above the traffic noise; lower floors and avenue-facing rooms can pick it up. The lobby gets crowded during conferences.
Breakfast is excluded on some rates. Airport transfers and spa treatments are charged separately.
Willow Stream Spa has an indoor pool with a retractable glass wall for summer, a hammam, sauna, steam room, yoga room and gym. Check pool hours and children's access with the hotel.

A 104-room business hotel on Büyükdere Avenue, about 500 m from Gayrettepe metro, with an indoor pool, hammam and six meeting rooms. Staff and cleanliness are the consistent strengths; the building and décor date from 2013 and now read as slightly worn.
Istanbul · Beşiktaş · ★★★★
A serviced-apartment property in Istanbul's Fulya district, opened in 2022, offering one- to five-bedroom apartments with full kitchens, washer-dryers and separate guest toilets. There is no breakfast or room service and housekeeping comes twice a week, so it suits long stays, business trips and families who want a home base rather than a full-service hotel.
Istanbul · Beşiktaş · ★★★★★
Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Bosphorus is a 257-room hotel on Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş, an 8-minute walk from Zorlu Center, in a renovated 21-storey tower that previously traded as The Plaza and Mercure Istanbul The Plaza Bosphorus before relaunching as a Mövenpick in 2021. It offers 17 meeting rooms, a spa with indoor pool and hammam, the Hünkar Turkish brasserie and the rooftop Italian restaurant Da Vittorio with 360-degree views. Bosphorus views are limited to upper-floor 'Bosphorus' category rooms, and boulevard traffic noise is the main drawback.
