A 115-room five-star hotel in Ordu's Altınordu district, a 20-minute walk from the centre - TripAdvisor's #1 in the city and the base for its hazelnut-and-textile business traffic. A heated indoor pool, hamam spa, sauna, gym, three restaurants and a rooftop dining room with sea-and-city views keep it working year-round; breakfast is included and reviews highlight English-speaking, guest-minded staff. Boztepe's cable car and the waterfront are close, OGU airport 15-17 km. Two caveats: summer A/C complaints are on record, and one source lists the indoor pool as surcharged - clarify both at check-in.

Hampton by Hilton Ordu

Opened in December 2011 as Turkey's first Hampton, this 79-room, 3-star hotel sits one block from the beach in Ordu's Akyazı district, about 10 minutes by car from the city centre. Breakfast, Wi-Fi and open-air parking are included; rooms are compact at around 21 m², and the outdoor pool still shown on some booking sites has reportedly been removed.
