Novotel in Türkiye

Upscale

Parent group: Accor

Novotel is Accor's most widespread upper-midscale brand: a standardised, predictable city-hotel concept built to serve business travellers and families under one roof. It sells consistency rather than surprise — wherever you check in, you can expect roughly the same room and the same service.

Typical service standard

Rooms are generally spacious, plain and functional; a good bed, a wide work desk and a sofa or seating corner are the brand's familiar fixtures, while the décor is rarely memorable. Breakfast is a full open buffet, though whether it is included depends on the hotel and the rate; a restaurant and bar, a gym and, at most properties, meeting rooms come as standard. The Turkish hotels sit mainly in Anatolian city centres and Istanbul, priced in the upper-mid range — a fit for business travellers who want international-chain reliability without paying a premium, couples on a city break and families with children.

Best suited for

Pros

  • + Consistent room and service standard that does not vary much from city to city
  • + Tangible family flexibility: family rooms and child-friendly arrangements at most properties
  • + Practical for business travel: large desks, meeting facilities, quick check-in and check-out
  • + Earn and redeem points across all Accor brands through ALL — Accor Live Limitless
  • + A safe choice in Anatolian cities where international-chain options are thin

Cons

  • − Interchangeable, characterless décor; you will not feel the city in your room
  • − Breakfast is not included on every rate — check before booking
  • − Food and bar prices are usually high compared with options outside the hotel
  • − Main-road or square locations at some hotels can mean noise and traffic
  • − Falls short for anyone after a luxury or boutique experience

Novotel Diyarbakır

Diyarbakir · Yenisehir · ★★★★★

A 171-room hotel opened in 2016 next to Forum Diyarbakır mall on Elazığ Boulevard, 10 km from the airport. Heated indoor pool, hammam and four meeting rooms make it the city's main international-chain option; breakfast is excluded on some rates and reviews on housekeeping and front desk are inconsistent.

Novotel Gaziantep

Gaziantep · Sehitkamil · ★★★★

A 92-room four-star opened in 2009 on İstasyon Caddesi between the Zeugma Mosaic Museum and the coppersmiths' bazaar, within walking distance of the castle and the city's food streets. Free valet parking, a pet-friendly policy and a seasonal outdoor pool suit city breaks; the building shows its age, and seasonal HVAC settings and ventilation noise are the common complaints.

Novotel Istanbul Bomonti

Istanbul · Şişli · ★★★★★

A 105-room hotel opened in December 2024, 100 metres from Bomontiada and walkable to Nişantaşı and Osmanbey metro. Sundukovy Sisters interiors, an outdoor pool, separate men's and women's hammams and a pilates room are unusual for this segment; Bomontiada's concerts and nightlife liven up the area on weekends and parking details need checking.

Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus

Istanbul · Beyoğlu · ★★★★★

A 200-room hotel opened in February 2016 by Akfen REIT right beside Galataport in Karaköy, a 10-minute walk to Galata Tower and 15 minutes to Sultanahmet by the Tophane tram. A rooftop breakfast room with Bosphorus views and the Qualia spa with an indoor pool are the highlights; Kemankeş street nightlife, cruise-day crowds and Galataport buildings blocking some sea views are the caveats.

Novotel Istanbul Zeytinburnu

Istanbul · Zeytinburnu · ★★★★

A 208-room four-star opened in 2007 as Novotel Istanbul and later renovated, facing the Marmara Sea on Kennedy Avenue. Free parking, a seasonal outdoor pool, 9-13 meeting rooms and a free shuttle to Taksim and Sultanahmet make it practical for fair and meeting attendees; coastal road traffic and pool closures on event days are the main drawbacks.

Novotel Kayseri

Kayseri · Kocasinan · ★★★★

A 96-room four-star opened in 2010 on Kocasinan Boulevard next to the Chamber of Industry, 4-5 km from Erkilet Airport and 25 km from the Erciyes ski resort. Breakfast and staff are the strong points and parking is free; dated rooms, cooling switched off in shoulder seasons and cigarette smell in corridors are recurring complaints.

Novotel Konya

Konya · Selcuklu · ★★★★★

A 16-storey, 178-room five-star opened in 2015 on the ring road in Selçuklu, 5 km from the Mevlana Museum, 3 km from the railway station and 20 km from the airport. A rooftop restaurant-bar, seasonal outdoor pool, hammam and free parking make it Konya's main chain option; central heating with no in-room control in winter, too few lifts and worn furnishings are frequent complaints.

Novotel Trabzon

A 200-room, five-star Novotel on the Black Sea coastal road in Yomra, six minutes from Trabzon Airport. Strong on meetings, breakfast and sea views; rooms date from 2008 and feel it.
