The realistic view
A 161-room thermal spa hotel on the Afyon–İzmir highway, about 5–6 km west of Afyonkarahisar centre, opened in 2013 as Budan Thermal and rebranded as a Wyndham in June 2023. Stays are usually sold on a 'half board plus' basis covering breakfast, an afternoon buffet and dinner, with an outdoor thermal pool, six thermal pools, hammam and a kids' waterslide pool, which makes it a strong fit for families and short spa breaks but less so for anyone wanting to walk into town.

The hotel sits in Erkmen at kilometre 5 of the Afyon–İzmir highway, around 5–6 km from Afyonkarahisar centre. Afium Outlet is about 2 km away (a 3-minute drive), the castle and Grand Mosque are roughly 8–10 minutes by car, and the intercity bus station is 3–4 km away. A few restaurants are within walking distance, but you will need a taxi or your own car for the centre. Being right on the highway makes it easy to reach by road.
