The realistic view
Ibis Gaziantep is a 177-room budget hotel opened in January 2010 on the old fairground beside Forum Gaziantep mall, within walking distance of the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, the tram line and the castle-bazaar district; the location is the main asset, while rooms and bathrooms are tight and showing their age.

Gaziantep Oğuzeli Airport (GZT) is 19-20 km / 25-30 minutes away; the Havaş airport shuttle leaves from beside the hotel.
In Şehitkamil next to Forum Gaziantep mall; the Zeugma Mosaic Museum is a 5-10 minute walk and the tram stop is close. Gaziantep Castle, the Coppersmiths' Bazaar and the streets below the castle are 15-20 minutes on foot. The Havaş airport bus stops 50 m away; the bus terminal is 6 km. There is no high-speed rail, so intercity arrivals are by bus or plane.
The stay
173 standard rooms plus 4 accessible ones, all 17 m² with a double or two twins and soundproofed windows. Bathrooms are cramped for two. Complaints mention smoke smell and weak air conditioning, so put a non-smoking request in writing. Higher floors (around the 6th) are further from tram and street noise.
Windows are soundproofed, but tram and İstasyon Street traffic can still be heard on lower floors on that side; ask for a higher floor.
Breakfast, minibar and restaurant are extra; a pre-authorisation may be taken at check-in. A group review mentions room configurations being mixed up, so confirm room types in writing.
